COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL AND CONTINUING STUDIES

Who we're for

You've already done
the hard part.
We help you make it count.

Most CPCS students come in with real experience — an associate degree, years in the workforce, military service, or all three. Traditional universities weren't built for them. Most online programs treat them like they're starting from scratch. CPCS doesn't.

Our programs are designed around the professional you already are. You can transfer up to 60 credit hours — including technical credits most four-year programs won't touch. Military training and work experience count. Every program is fully online, in 8-week terms, so you can keep working while you finish.

CPCS is building a dedicated home for applied leadership education at Mississippi State. We're not a detour from your career. We're the next step in it.

Why CPCS
Traditional programs weren't built for you. Ours was.

Here's what that actually means in practice.

01

Your AAS counts here.

Transfer up to 60 credit hours — including up to 45 technical credits most four-year programs won't accept. Military and professional experience may qualify too.

02

Built around a full-time job.

Fully online, 8-week terms, offered year-round. No campus visits. Most students take one to two courses per semester alongside full-time work.

03

Each credential builds on the last.

ALC courses count toward the MASOL. BAS credits can apply toward a master's. The pathway from certificate to graduate degree is intentional.

04

In-state rates. Nationwide.

Online students pay Mississippi in-state tuition wherever they live — $477/credit hour for undergrad, $627.50 for graduate. No campus fees added on top.
